Shiraz Day and Humble Bites at Our London Wine Bars

Shiraz Day Shenanigans and Humble Bites Galore

Shiraz Day is coming up on the 25th of July, and what better way to celebrate than popping over to any of our six London wine bars? Trust us, our Shiraz isn’t just any ordinary wine—it's biodynamic, sustainable, organic, and / or natural. Think 5x fewer chemicals than the usual stuff. What’s not to love?

Shiraz & Syrah

So, what’s the deal with Shiraz and Syrah? They’re technically the same grape, but Shiraz is the fun-loving, party-going cousin found in New World regions like Australia, South Africa, and California. Shiraz wines are fuller-bodied, higher in alcohol, and bursting with concentrated fruity flavors like black cherry, plum, and a spicy licorice kick. And that signature black pepper scent? Totally Shiraz. Usually aged in new oak, they get those yummy vanilla and cinnamon notes, making them smooth as silk.

Shiraz is your go-to for grilled meats, perfect for summer BBQs. Just remember,  the ideal temp for Shiraz is between 16-19°C (60-66°F), allowing all those spicy, fruity complexities to shine without the alcohol taking over.

Wine Highlights You Don’t Want to Miss

This one’s a full-bodied, robust mouthful with significant tannins and higher alcohol content. Aged in oak barrels, it gets those lovely vanilla, cedar, and toast flavors. Whether you're a fan of the rich Barossa Valley style or the peppery notes of Hunter Valley, Australian Shiraz never disappoints.

Complex and elegant, this Swartland gem offers dark fruit flavors mixed with black pepper, smoked meat, and olive tapenade. The earthy, mineral qualities reflect the unique Swartland terroir, and minimal intervention winemaking lets the grape shine. Perfect for pairing with grilled meats or hearty stews.

Côte de Boeuf

London's finest beef, seared to perfection. Crispy outside, tender inside, and so rich you might think the cow sacrificed itself for greatness.

A wine tasting experience like none other, accompanied by great food. The Côte de Boeuf is out of this world.

Burrata and Burella Creations

Whether you go for classic Italian Burrata or plant-based Burella, you’re in for a treat. Each location offers unique variations, like Burrata with Monk’s beard and blood orange in Battersea or smoked aubergine with marinated courgette in Islington.

Friendly service, amazing food, and a cozy environment. Did I mention the crazy variety of wine? I can't picture returning to London without going there again."
